You stillll need Freetype1. Some features aren't incorporated in
Freetype2. CJK4.7.0 provides scripts to build the TFM, AFM and Type1
fonts with Fontforge, the only thing you need from Freetype1 are the
.sfd files if you want to compile all the fonts.
